What is a Source?

A Source represents the technical origin of data, i.e., the system or integration that submits receipts or payment data to our platform.

This allows multiple different systems to send receipts representing the same merchant (for example: POS systems, e-commerce, or in-app payments).

Each of those systems is modeled as its own Source, which allows our platform to understand where a receipt came from and how it should be handled, such as:

• Match receipts to payment data
• Apply configuration specific to that integration
• Support merchants who send receipts from multiple systems
• Diagnose and debug issues by tracing the receipt’s true origin
• Keep different integrations fully separated within the same merchant
